A common phrase.  One might hear it anytime Hot Chocolate was being served.  Oh?  But what language is that?

English.  or the Scotch-Irish version of it.

Scotchmen who were tired of the way the English treated them were coming on to America in the 1630s.  And if thy ever had hot chocolate or any hot drink probably came out with that phrase.  You can still hear it today in certain parts of the country.

If fact it was the first word out of my mouth as i made some hotchocolate before breakfast.  No time to think.  Just reverted me back to when I was a child.  That was the first think I could think of.

Scotch refers to objects. The term for people is Scot, Scots or Scottish.

You are right of course. I thought it would confuse people to refer to the Scotch-Irish’ the way they are usually spoken of here again as Scots. My fault. i was chicken and didn’t want to get into that argument.
